Prayer, Mercy and Service

Sanctuary Missionaries of Divine Mercy

“We are a religious society of missionaries committed to manifesting the love and mercy of God through prayers, pastoral services, apostolate of presence to the needy, and immigrants.”

Our Mission

Rooted in the saving mission of the Church, we are a religious society of missionaries committed to manifesting God’s love and mercy through prayer, spiritual formation, pastoral care, and courageous accompaniment of the poor, immigrants, and the most vulnerable.

Vision Statement
“To be a global apostolate of Divine Mercy, rooted in Eucharistic worship and prayer, forming missionaries, and serving the poorest and most vulnerable, so that Christ’s mercy transforms lives and communities.”

Sanctuary Missionaries of Divine Mercy

We are a religious missionary society devoted to the worship of Christ in the Most Holy Eucharist, the prayer of the Rosary of Reparation for peace, and the living witness of God’s boundless mercy. Rooted in prayer and sent forth in love, we serve the poor, the forgotten, and the vulnerable across the world, bringing the light of Divine Mercy into places of suffering, need, and hope. In fidelity to this mission, we support faith formation, priestly formation, and religious formation in developing countries, helping to form missionaries for worship and service.

Who We Are

Sanctuary Missionaries of Divine Mercy is a religious missionary society established in California, United States, with a clear and prayerful mandate to unite worship and works of mercy for the glory of God and the salvation of souls. Inspired by the merciful
Heart of Jesus and the tender intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our mission flows from the words of the Lord:
“Remain in me, as I remain in you… for without me you can do nothing” (John 15:4–5).

We

  • Serve as missionaries across nations and cultures, bringing God’s mercy, hope, and compassionate presence to communities wherever the need is greatest.
  • Lead people into a deeper relationship with Christ, promoting the worship of God and a personal encounter with the Eucharistic Jesus through prayer, catechesis, and pastoral care.
  • Stand with the poor and vulnerable including children and orphans, the sick and elderly, immigrants and displaced families, the homeless, and victims of
conflict and injustice offering both spiritual support and practical assistance.
  • Form the next generation in faith and character, providing religious education,
mentorship, and values-based formation that nurtures sanctity, peace, and responsible leadership among young people.
  • Defend life, uphold human dignity, and build peace, training communities in
reconciliation, accompanying immigrants and refugees, and empowering women
and youth through education and sustainable development initiatives.

A Mission Sustained by Prayer

Our humanitarian apostolate is inseparable from our ministry of prayer. As the Church teaches, works of charity draw their strength from contemplation. Guided by the message of Fatima and devotion to the Mother of Mercy, Sanctuary Missionaries of Divine Mercy lead Thursday night Eucharistic adoration vigils and Rosary pilgrimages of reparation on the First Saturday of each month, offering prayer for peace, conversion, and healing in the world. Moved by Marian inspiration, we will sponsor a Eucharistic Rosary Adoration Crusade in 12 institutions across approximately 10 countries in 2026, beginning in January. We give thanks for the collaboration and support of partner institutions, including:

  • Win-Dream International Center for Human Rights and Peace Development
  • Daughters of Mary Mother of Mercy
  • Daughters of Divine Promise
  • Seat of Wisdom
  • Star of the Sea Parish, San Francisco
  • St. Anthony’s Parish, Pakistan

Core Values

Eucharistic Devotion

We place Christ at the center of our lives and mission, sustaining our work through Holy Mass, Eucharistic adoration, and prayer, following John 15:4–5: “Remain in me, as I remain in you… for without me you can do nothing.”

Mercy and Compassion

Inspired by the Divine Mercy, we respond to human suffering with love and care, reaching out to the poor, vulnerable, sick, lonely, and displaced, living Matthew 25:40: “Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”

Faith and Vocational Formation

We are committed to faith formation, priestly formation, and religious formation, especially in developing countries, nurturing missionaries to worship, serve, and strengthen the Church where it is most needed (Luke 10:2: “The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few.”).

Prayer as Foundation

Every work of mercy and mission is rooted in prayer. Through adoration vigils, rosary pilgrimages, and Eucharistic devotion, we sustain our apostolate and intercede for peace, healing, and conversion in the world.

Global Mission and Collaboration

We collaborate with communities, parishes, and institutions worldwide, bringing faith, hope, and mercy to those suffering persecution, vulnerability, or marginalization, as a visible sign of God’s love in action.

Holistic Transformation

Our mission seeks not only to relieve immediate suffering but also to empower individuals and communities to transition from vulnerability to dignity, and from despair to hope, embodying the transformative power of Divine Mercy.
